Being involved in church planting involves thinking ahead... What are God's purposes for His church? How does He want to see a local body grow and function?

One important aspect of growth involves believers grasping the work and owning it for themselves. Continued reliance on a missionary or church planter can produce an unhealthy dependance and negatively affect the maturing of the church.
