Series: Lessons from the field
Jason Stuart
Jason Stuart has been serving as a Bible translator and consultant in PNG for many years. He tells us that the biggest languages already have translations available, and so now it is the smaller language groups that need a translation. But why can’t they just read God’s word in the national language? Jason discusses this currently-debated topic from his experience, from the vantage point of what promotes discipleship and church growth. We asked Jason the question:
In your experience, how important is it for minority language churches to have their own translation of Scripture available?
